Edinburgh The Senior Data Analyst will join the Oils Research team, taking a lead role in the improvement of data storage and handling for the team’s five research products. The successful candidate will research and update data for a number of services spanning global supply, crude and oil products pricing, oil product demand, refinery investments and fuels marketing, dealing with analysts in Edinburgh, London, Singapore, Boston and Houston.

Downstream Analyst

Edinburgh or London The downstream research analyst will join a team of experienced professionals in Wood Mackenzie’s expanding Oils Research team, working on a number of different subscription services. The successful candidate will research and analyse key issues influencing and challenging the downstream industry. The role offers the opportunity for an individual to develop deep knowledge of the downstream oil sector in a dynamic research environment.

HR Consultant

Sydney As a Generalist Human Resources practitioner, you will provide a range of dedicated HR services to our local employee base in Australia, as well as providing support on issues across the wider Asia Pacific region. You will also be responsible for the delivery of regional Learning & Development initiatives.

Analyst

Perth The Analyst will join a team responsible for the production of commercial and analytical research into the Australasian upstream energy industry.

Senior Cost Engineer

Global The role of Senior Cost Engineer/Estimator is a high-profile and influential role within the business. The cost environment has one of the most significant impacts on the current understanding and future direction of the energy business. With cost inflation having been c.30% p.a. for the past 4 years, the future direction of costs becomes crucial in understanding energy economics, development and acquisition decisions, future of supply and ultimately how that impacts the oil price.

New Client Developer

Houston The role-holder will be responsible for growing Wood Mackenzie’s client base across North America. Selling research and consulting services to the E&P segment, the role requires deep knowledge of the E&P business and working understanding of gas & power, coal and downstream.

Refining Analyst

Edinburgh or London The Refining Analyst will play an important part in Wood Mackenzie’s expanding Oils Research team, providing analysis of the competitive position of refineries using Wood Mackenzie’s net cash margin methodology. This includes researching refinery configuration, crude slate, refining investment plans and company strategy, for publication in subscription services and for consulting assignments.

Pricing & Margins Analyst

Edinburgh or London The analyst will be Wood Mackenzie’s recognised expert in oil product prices and refining margins (P&M), responsible for the company’s long term forecasts published in the research services. The analyst will work with experts across the research and consulting teams to develop robust global forecasts consistent with the research messages delivered to clients. The analysis will be widely used across the research services, and as such ability to meet deadlines will be important.

Downstream Supply Analyst

Edinburgh or London The Supply Analyst will join the team responsible for forecasting short- and long-term global oil/NGL supply. Building on the deep knowledge of Wood Mackenzie’s regional upstream analysts, the role holder will combine field-by-field forecasts of long term production with political, technical and fiscal pressures to generate a twenty year supply outlook. In addition, the analyst will evaluate near-term influences on supply to generate month-by-month forecasts.

Account Manager, Coal Sector

Annapolis This new sales role will focus primarily on the Coal Segment in North America. This role will be responsible for retaining and developing existing client relationships and to significantly grow revenue through research products and multi client studies sales.

North American Power Research Manager

Houston The Research Manager is responsible for developing the North American Power Market Forecast for Wood Mackenzie. This includes managing a team of analysts that use fundamental models use to create the forecast. The manager will guide the team's daily activities and ensure the quality and accuracy of the market outlook.

Telemarketer - Marketing

Houston Reporting to the Regional Marketing Manager, the Telemarketer will be primarily responsible for improving the return on investment from marketing campaigns through improved quality of leads. This will be done by profiling new prospect companies through desk research and outbound telephone-based sales activities.

Macro Economist

Edinburgh or London The Energy Economist will work with the Principal Economist in developing comprehensive long-term macroeconomic forecasts in conjunction with long-term energy demand forecasts primarily for the Energy Markets Service which covers over 100 markets worldwide. The successful candidate will support the other research teams across Wood Mackenzie product services that rely on short and longer-term macroeconomic forecasts as inputs into demand and price forecasting.

Principal Oil Demand Economist

Research Associate - North American Gas Research

Houston The Research Associate will work within the North American Gas Research team, which is responsible for producing high quality research and analysis of the North American Gas market. The role holder will assume primary responsibility for maintaining the integrity and currency of the models and databases used by the team, and for contributing to both written and quantitative research deliverables.

North America Gas Service - Product Manager

Houston The North American Gas Service Team Leader will be responsible for the commercial direction and impact of Wood Mackenzie's North American Gas research. They will ensure that the research product suite meets the full needs of the clients, that the quality of the output meets expectations and that the deliverables are delivered on a timely basis.

LNG Consultant

Edinburgh Due to the continued success in the field of gas/LNG we are looking for a Consultant to work with the team delivering a wide variety of primarily LNG and global gas focused consulting projects to clients. Coal Consultant

London The Coal Consulting Practice in Europe was set up last year to work closely with the Gas & Power Consulting team. We have an opportunity for someone to come into Wood Mackenzie and help build a European coal consulting team. The team will be responsible for delivering an expanding range of consulting services. The position requires the ability to apply knowledge of the gas & power or minerals & mining industries to a broad range of consulting projects and client situations.

Sales & Account Manager - Central and Eastern Europe

Edinburgh or London The role holder will work closely with existing clients and the relevant internal departments (Research, Consulting, Marketing, Client Services, Training, Finance, and Technology) to retain and develop new business and maximise the sale of research products and consulting services to industry clients principally, but not solely, in Central & Eastern Europe.
