US coal and natural gas competition
Report summary
The coronavirus pandemic upended power markets across the country as market conditions rapidly shifted. At first glance, 2021 appears to signal a recovery for power, natural gas and coal markets as demand picks up from pandemic related lows. However, coal buyers were, for the most part, not willing to sign contracts for significantly higher supply as they have been burned several times in the past.
